Roles & Permissions
Roles control what you can see and do across settings, calendar, payments, and reporting.
TatTool uses role-based access control. Your role can differ between organizations.
Typical roles include:
- Owner
- Admin
- Manager
- Reception
- Member
What Roles Commonly Affect
Roles determine access to areas like:
- Organization settings (branding, payment defaults, opening hours)
- Locations, members, and tags management
- Payment verification workflows
- Insight (revenue reporting)
Some access is also membership-specific
In addition to roles, organizations can disable Calendar Access for individual members.
If you can’t find a page
If you don’t see a settings page, you likely don’t have permission in that organization. Ask an owner/admin to make the change.
Practical Expectations (High Level)
Exact permissions can evolve, but in most studios:
- Owners/Admins manage organization configuration and members
- Managers manage operations (and often reporting), but may not manage billing/ownership actions
- Reception focuses on calendar operations and front desk workflows
- Members focus on their own work and daily tasks, and may have limited access to reporting
