Getting Started

A clean setup path for creating an account, setting up an organization, inviting the team, and starting daily work.

Use this section when you are setting up TatTool for the first time. The flow is intentionally linear: create the account, create or join the organization, add the first location, invite the team, then finish operational setup.

Set up the organization before daily use

Do the organization setup in order if you are the first person configuring a studio. Most problems later come from missing locations, unclear member defaults, or payment settings that were never reviewed.

Choose The Right Path

Invites are tied to one email address

If someone was invited, the email on their TatTool account must match the invite email. Signing up with a different email will not attach the invite to the account.

Setup Checklist

Create your account

Sign up or sign in first. Your personal account is separate from organization membership.

Join or create the organization

Accept an invitation, or create the organization that represents the studio.

Create the first location

Add the physical place where bookings happen. TatTool needs at least one location before scheduling and reporting make sense.

Invite members

Add artists and staff with the correct role, calendar color, revenue target, and default location.

Finish organization setup

Review payment methods, payment verification, extensions, and the first booking workflow.

Start daily operations

Use the dashboard, calendar, payments, client records, and reports with the team.

What You Need Before Setup

  • Organization name and permanent handle
  • Default currency
  • First location name and opening hours
  • Member emails and roles, if you are inviting a team
  • Payment methods your studio accepts, such as cash, terminal, bank transfer, or Stripe
  • Optional extensions you plan to use, such as email, SMS, consent forms, or ink registration
